Acura RDX
Model Years Produced: 2019 to Current
Summary
Like the other Japanese luxury automaker Infiniti, Acura in recent years has struggled to keep its lineup competitive and relevant against European competition – especially now that the Koreans have joined in the luxury car business with the Genesis brand and now that Lincoln has undergone a renaissance of its own. The TC-generation RDX was the first major step from Acura back to success, showing that they still knew how to make a car that not only checked off the luxury items, but also could provide some fun when desired too.
Although there is no “Type S” package, the regular RDX is still enjoyable to drive, especially when equipped with the SH-AWD system and adaptive dampers. The engine produces a good amount of power, and the 10-speed transmission doesn’t get in the way too badly. Handling is sharp without making the ride punishing, and there is an ample amount of cargo space without the car being overly large.
