Infiniti QX60 (L51)

Infiniti QX60

Model Years Produced: 2022 to Current

Summary

The L51 Infiniti QX60 is a wonderful example of what is possible when a manufacturer truly puts their resources into updating an aging and poorly-received vehicle for a new generation. The previous-generation QX60 was often used as the poster child to show how out-of-date Infiniti’s lineup was, but with the quantum leap of the L51, that is no longer possible.

Gone is the awful and extraordinarily unreliable CVT and gone is the ancient dual-screen infotainment system. In their place are a brand-new 9-speed automatic from ZF and a modern infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and (sadly only wired) Android Auto. Not stopping there, Infiniti loaded the QX60 with a great suite of standard safety features and gave it an interior worthy of competing with the Germans.

It’s still too early to tell how the new QX60 shakes out compared to its rivals, but early impressions are that it’s a surprisingly solid entry from a brand that has been struggling to show its relevancy for the last few years.
