Summary

Beneath the BMW iX’s…polarizing…appearance is one of the best electric vehicles on the market today.

The iX does all of the “driving” things well that BMW has become known for over the years – it’s quick, the steering feels great, the suspension is both comfortable and handles corners well, and the body is rigid. The cabin is beautiful and feels like a spaceship without requiring a steep learning curve to actually use it, and the materials are all high-quality. While not as big as its gas-powered X5 sibling, the iX can still fit a ton of stuff inside.

Unfortunately, in typical BMW fashion, some things that should be standard at the price point are not, like adaptive cruise control. Expect to tick a few option boxes to get everything you want.
